Young people in Liberia today are faced with tremendous challenges; school dropout and securing sustainable job opportunities in the short, medium and long term to lead their lives has been slow or impossible due to a huge missed out chances and educational gaps: FODEDE is seeking avenues through the use of football to change for better life. FODEDE in an effort to expand expand the provision and access to vocational training and apprenticeship to throughout communities’ schools and increase the social economic securities of the youths, have constructed and running the vocational/life skills training center with code name “CAREER HOUR” and with the capacity to accommodate 150 beneficiaries a year in five respective skills disciplines. With our main objective, which is using football as a tool to help the young people through the development of innovative ideas to make them entrepreneurs and leaders and giving them sustainable hope using streetfootballworld football3 methodolgy, we thought to combine grassroots soccer, vocational training and enterprenuership as a catalyst for girls empowerment.
