PEACEMAKERS LABEL COORDINATOR

Peace and Sport is seeking a Peacemakers Label Coordinator to support the operational rollout of the Peacemakers Label among organizations that use sport as a tool for peacebuilding, inclusion, and social cohesion.

CONTEXT

On the occasion of its 20th anniversary, Peace and Sport is entering a new phase in the development of its Programs and Sport Department, with the aim of strengthening the links between international advocacy and field-based action.

As part of this strategy, the Organization is launching the Peacemakers Label, an initiative designed to identify, support, and recognize organizations that use sport as a driver of peace, inclusion, and social cohesion.

Based on a progressive process of mentoring, training, monitoring, and impact measurement, the Label aims to become an international benchmark for organizations working in Sport for Development and Peace (SDP).

POSITION

The position is based in Monaco within the Programs and Sport Department.

Reporting to the Director of Programs and Sport, the Peacemakers Label Coordinator will oversee the day-to-day implementation of the program, contribute to strengthening the capacities of partner organizations, and support the collection, consolidation, and promotion of data and field experiences.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Objective 1: Lead the implementation of the Peacemakers Label

The successful candidate will contribute to the implementation and continuous improvement of the Peacemakers Label.

Responsibilities include:

  • Contributing to the mapping of Sport for Development and Peace organizations
  • Monitoring applicant, pilot, and certified organizations throughout the labeling process
  • Preparing application files, assessment tools, and Label procedures
  • Maintaining regular communication with partners and ensuring compliance with commitments and deliverables
  • Collecting and analyzing partner organizations’ needs, challenges, and feedback
  • Supporting the continuous improvement of the certification framework
  • Producing internal and external reporting materials
  • Identifying and documenting best practices, case studies, and field testimonies

 

Objective 2: Contribute to the development of appropriate tools for capacity building

The successful candidate will contribute to the design and deployment of resources supporting organizations participating in the Label.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the organization and coordination of Peacemakers Academy training activities
  • Contributing to the development of educational and methodological resources
  • Assisting in the preparation of workshops, training sessions, field events, and debriefing sessions
  • Continuously improving the support materials provided to certified organizations

 

Objective 3: Support knowledge management, advocacy, and the Peace and Sport Awards

The successful candidate will help showcase initiatives identified through the Label and contribute to knowledge production on Peace through Sport alongside the Sport and Programs Department.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the preparation of case studies, practical guides, briefing notes, and impact reports
  • Identifying outstanding initiatives to be highlighted through Peace and Sport’s communication and advocacy activities
  • Coordinating the Organization’s recognition initiatives, particularly the Peace and Sport Awards

 

Objective 4: Support cross-function activities within the Programs and Sport Department

Depending on the priorities, the successful candidate may occasionally contribute to additional activities, including:

  • Monitoring developments among Sport for Development and Peace stakeholders
  • Conducting background research on organizations, projects, and influential personalities with significant social impact
  • Preparing briefing notes and decision-support documents
  • Providing occasional support in organizing departmental meetings and events

 

PROFILE

Education and Experience

  • Master’s degree (or equivalent, Bac+5) in Political Science, International Relations, International Development, Project Management, Sport Management, Social Sciences, or a related field
  • Initial professional experience in project management, the non-profit sector, sport, international development, education, social inclusion, or local development
  • Experience within a grassroots organization, sports club, NGO, or sport-for-development program would be highly valued
  • A recognized sports coaching or sports education certification would be a strong asset.
  • Knowledge of Sport for Development and Peace, Peace through Sport, or social inclusion issues is an advantage

Technical Skills

  • Excellent organizational, coordination, and follow-up skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong writing skills in both French and English
  • Ability to prepare reports, summaries, monitoring documents, and operational materials
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Canva
  • Ability to collect, organize, and synthesize both quantitative and qualitative data
  • Understanding of monitoring and evaluation, reporting, and knowledge management processes
  • Fluency in English is required; Spanish is considered a significant asset

CONDITIONS

  • Starting date: September 1, 2026
  • Application deadline: July 23rd

  • Contract: 16-month fixed-term contract (CDD), with the possibility of becoming a permanent contract (CDI)
  • Salary: Upon qualifications and experience
  • Working hours: 39 hours per week
  • Work authorization: A Monaco work permit is required for candidates from outside the European Union
  • Benefits: 50% reimbursement of transportation costs and health insurance contributions

Mission:

Under the supervision of the International Relations and Advocacy Manager, the Coordinator supports the implementation of Peace and Sport’s advocacy strategy by contributing to the development of advocacy content, strengthening institutional relationships, and promoting the organization’s positioning at the international level.

Main Tasks:

1/ Development of advocacy content:

– Monitor international policy developments relevant to Sport for Development and Peace
– Conduct research and compile evidence to support Peace and Sport’s advocacy positions
– Support the drafting of advocacy materials including: background notes, policy papers, leadership statements

2/ Dissemination of advocacy messages

– Monitor international agendas related to sport, peace, sustainable development, and international cooperation
– Support Peace and Sport’s participation in conferences, forums, and other high-level events
– Participate in the preparation of briefing notes, talking points, speeches and presentations
– Contribute to identify and mobilize contributors for Peace and Sport’s conferences, workshops and advocacy events

3/ International Relations

– Maintain and update stakeholder mapping and institutional database
– Support the development and maintenance of relationships with institutional partners and key stakeholders
– Prepare meeting briefs and supporting documentation, and monitor partnership deliverables and follow-up actions

Profile :

Education and Experience

– Master’s degree in International Relations, Political Science, Public Policy or related field
– Excellent written and spoken English and French
– Proficiency in Excel/Word/PowerPoint/Canva
– Previous experience in advocacy campaigns is an asset
– Strong interest in drafting policy papers and strategic briefs

Skills
